Demolition is complete. I guess we get a break from the dust until the sheetrock comes in.
Today the HVAC contractor came and ran some ductwork. Our house was built in 1956 and the ducts running under the house had rotted out. So we're having ductwork run through the ceiling.
They were going to keep the existing ceiling in the bedroom but the electrical was all crazy and they decided it was best to take it down and clean up the wiring. I'm so glad that they did because there were three layers of different materials on the ceiling covering up a huge mess - an electrical fire waiting to happen. Some people were not meant to be DIYers, including our previous homeowners.
No sheetrock yet, but with all the framing done I am starting to get a feel for how the room is going to turn out and I am excited.
